Adventures in Integrative Arts Education

Cheryl-Ann Rossi- Education Director

Cheryl-Ann has been performing all of her life. Her first love was and still is musical theatre. She danced under the direction of Bob Fosse, Michael Bennett and Gus Giordano. She performed on Broadway as Maria Gonzalez in the Marvin Hamlisch / Howard Ashman musical, Smile, toured as Mabel in Pirates of Penzance, was well known as the voice of many radio jingles, producer and director of industrial videos, commercials and countless professional stage companies. Though her professional credits are many and varied, she spent several years researching how to reconcile her love for the arts with the "self centered" nature of the arts and a generation of young artists willing to compromise principle, self worth and character to obtain celebrity status.  Ms. Rossi has a Masters degree in Teaching: Teaching at Risk,  A professional mentor and coach to performers across the nation, she has produced award winning, agency signed talent, now performing on Broadway, ABC-TV and iTunes.  Act 1 Academy uses the Rossi curriculum, an integrated, whole learning, process based method.
